Excerpt from Pope Francis' letter, Misericordia et Misera  given on November 21st, 2016:

"For the Jubilee Year (ended Dec. 8, 2016) I had also granted that those faithful who, for various reasons, attend churches officiated by the priests of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X, can validly and licitly receive the sacramental absolution of their sins. For the pastoral benefit of these faithful...

I have personally decided to extend this faculty beyond the Jubilee Year, until further provisions are made, lest anyone ever be deprived of the sacramental sign of reconciliation through the Church’s pardon."

Why Confession During Eastertide?

Do not forget that all baptized Catholics of age are obliged to receive Holy Communion worthily at least once during Easter time, which runs from the First Sunday of Lent to Trinity Sunday.  This is one of the major precepts of the Church.  "Worthily" means "in the state of grace."  Confession, therefore, is an important means of preparing for a worthy communion.
